How to Create a Sign Up / Login Popup
This article explains how to create a Sign Up / Login Popup in Instant Popup Builder.
Create the popup
- In WordPress admin, go to Instant Popups.
- Click Add New Popup.
- Select Sign Up / Login Popup.
- Configure the add-on settings from the left panel.
- Configure the General, Design, and Conditions tabs as needed.
- Click Publish or Save.
Configure the pop-up forms
In the Sign Up / Login Popup settings, choose which forms to show.
- Enable login form: Turn this on to show the login form. Visitors can enter their username or email address and password to log in.
- Enable sign-up form: Turn this on to show the registration form. Visitors can create a new WordPress account from the popup.
At least one form should be enabled.
Choose the default tab: If both login and sign-up forms are enabled, you can choose which tab visitors see first:
You can also customize the tab labels.
Add popup content
Use these settings to customize the top of the popup:
- Popup title: The main heading shown inside the popup. Example: Welcome back
- Popup description: Optional text shown below the title. Example: Log in or create an account to continue.
Show or hide field labels and placeholders: You can choose whether the form displays:
- Field labels above inputs
- Placeholder text inside empty fields
Showing field labels is recommended for accessibility.
- Configure logged-in visitor behavior: Choose what happens when a logged-in visitor would normally see the popup:
- Hide popup entirely: Logged-in users do not see the popup.
- Show custom message: Logged-in users see your popup title and logged-in message.
- Show nothing: The popup content area is left empty.
- Configure registration availability: If WordPress registration is turned off, you can choose whether to hide the sign-up tab. (You can also write a message to display when registration is disabled.)
You can configure popup’s display behavior from the Popup settings section. Once done, you are all set! Publish the Popup.
