Does Language Targeting work with the free core plugin?

Yes, Language Targeting requires the free Instant Popup Builder core plugin (v1.1.5 or higher) to be installed and activated.

Will I receive updates?

Can I use this on a staging site?

Yes, staging and localhost environments do not count toward your site activation limit.

Is there a refund policy?

How is the visitor's language detected?

The add-on reads the browser’s navigator.language and navigator.languages properties, plus the Accept-Language HTTP header. These reflect the language the user has set on their browser or device — for example, a user in the US with their device set to Arabic will be detected as an Arabic speaker.

Does this work with multilingual plugins?

Yes! Language Targeting is fully compatible with WPML, Polylang, and TranslatePress. You can also target based on the WordPress user locale for logged-in users.

How is this different from Geo Targeting?

Geo Targeting uses IP-based location detection (country/city). Language Targeting detects the visitor’s browser/device language preference. A Spanish speaker living in the United States would be reached by Language Targeting but NOT by a Spain geo-rule — they’re two completely independent signals.

Can I target language variants like Brazilian Portuguese?

Yes! You can target broad languages (e.g., all Portuguese speakers) or specific variants (e.g., pt-BR for Brazilian Portuguese vs pt-PT for European Portuguese).
