How to Create an Auto-Responder in Subscription Pro Extension
The Subscription Pro Extension allows you to automate email responses for your subscription pop-ups. These automated emails, called Auto-Responders, can be used to welcome new subscribers, send confirmation messages, or deliver special offers immediately after someone signs up.
Before creating an Auto-Responder, make sure you have:
- At least one active subscription popup
- An email template created (used as the content of your auto-response email)
Step 1 — Open the Auto-Responder Settings
Go to: Instant Popups → Configuration → Auto-Responder
Here you will see a list of existing Auto-Responders (if any).
To create a new one, click Add New.
A modal window titled Create New Auto-Responder will appear.
Step 2 — Fill in Auto-Responder Details
Title
This will be the email subject line that subscribers will see in their inbox.
Examples:
- Welcome to Our Newsletter!
- Thank You for Subscribing
- Your Discount Code Inside
Step 3 — Configure Trigger Rules
Trigger Rules control when the Auto-Responder email will be sent.
You will see two options:
1- On Successful Subscription
The email is sent immediately after the user submits the subscription form.
This is the most common setting—ideal for welcome emails, discount delivery, or confirmation messages.
2 – On Email Verification
The email will only be sent after the user verifies their email address.
This option appears only if the subscription popup has Enable Email Verification turned on in its settings.
Use this when you want the Auto-Responder to go out only after a confirmed, verified opt-in.
Step 4 — Associate Subscription Campaigns
The Associated Campaigns section allows you to choose which subscription popup(s) will trigger this Auto-Responder.
- You can select one or multiple subscription popups.
- However, for best clarity and tracking, it’s recommended to associate only one popup per Auto-Responder.
The image shows an example where the subscription popup “Knowledge Base” is selected.
Step 5 — Configure Sender Details
Here you set the sender information that subscribers will see:
Sender Name
The visible “From” name.
Examples:
- Your Company Name
- Customer Support
- Marketing Team
Sender Email
The email address used to send the Auto-Responder.
Example: noreply@yourdomain.com
Reply-To Email
(Optional) If subscribers reply to the email, replies will go here.
Example: support@yourdomain.com
Disable Reply Option
If checked, subscribers will not be able to reply to this message.
Step 6 — Select an Email Template
Choose the email template you already created from the dropdown list.
You may also:
- Preview Template — See how the email will look
- Manage Templates — Open the Templates manager to edit or create new ones
Step 7 — Save the Auto-Responder
Click Save to finalize your Auto-Responder.
Your automated email is now active and will send based on your configured trigger rules.
